Quality Assessment

General Instructions
In the tasks described below, you are requested to annotate Web pages. To do so, you are required to register to https://hypothes.is/ and download their browser plugin. Once the plugin is installed, you will be able to highlight and annotate web pages.
Task 1

The general aim of this task is to obtain a list of features that determine the quality of online documents on vaccination, focusing in particular on the way the message is delivered (markers of context, such as authors, layout, illustrations, ads, references, etc.). You are asked to highlight each feature and, by means of annotation on the document:

  1. clearly indicate what you have selected (author, ad, title, references, etc.) [since we cannot see from the html what it is you have highlighted]
  2. motivate your selection in the annotation field (e.g. ‘The mention of this sponsor clearly reveals the anti-vaccination stance of the document’).
Practical instructions:
Once logged in hypothes.is, please join the Perspectives – Task 1 group by clicking the following link: https://hypothes.is/groups/Rd8P5EDd/perspectives-task-1
Whenever adding an annotation, please make sure you are ‘Posting to perspective – task 1’, as indicated under the ‘tag’ field.
You can select the articles to annotate (at least 2) from the list below.

Task 2

In order to investigate whether the discussion of the markers of quality has changed your evaluation, we ask you to repeat task 1: You are asked to highlight each feature and, by means of annotation on the document:

  1. clearly indicate what you have selected (author, ad, title, references, etc.) [since we cannot see from the html what it is you have highlighted]
  2. motivate your selection in the annotation field (e.g. ‘The mention of this sponsor clearly reveals the anti-vaccination stance of the document’).
Practical instructions:
Once logged in hypothes.is, please join the Perspectives – Task 2 group by clicking the following link: https://hypothes.is/groups/ZEqpoKv9/perspectives-task-2
Whenever adding an annotation, please make sure you are ‘Posting to perspective – task 2’, as indicated under the ‘tag’ field.
You can select the articles to annotate (at least 2) from the list below.
